WHEN I WAS A CHILD
When I was a child, I walked through the forests to get away, I was bewildered by the wild animals and the feeling of shelter I felt from the trees, the narrow winding crick was my favorite place to sit.
But now, now, many years later, there is no more colorful fall, its been plowed and turned into a mall. No more wild bird calls, just a maze of concrete and walls.
Where I once sat trash fills the streets, Where natured once thrived a condominium retreat.
A sanctuary trampled by human feet, the destruction is almost complete.
A sexually charged society which self-gratification is its top priority will no longer be ignoring me when the weather starts to behave erratically.
Pollution in the water, pollution in the air, pollution all around and no one seems to care, so tell me, WHOS TO BLAME, who to blame who to blame, whos to blame whos to blame?
Exxon Mobil Mickey Ds, Pizza hut and NBC, Coca Cola MTV, IBM and WB, Xerox Playboy, ABC, Nike Pepsi ATT, Sprint Shell Camel, Marlboro and GE, Microsoft and Intel, Chrysler and HP, they call themselves leaders, but take no responsibility.
Bring down the corporations people, reclaim the streets, form tighter communities to defeat the beast. Local gardens helpful hands, and independent beats, because when we all work together we can accomplish many feats.
